Puss in Boots
February 15-17 & 22-24, 2008
Directed by Jessica Alexander
Even though Grimm’s tales included a Puss in Boots, we have chosen an earlier French version for our production which is very similar to Grimm’s. Learn what happens to the townspeople, the royals, and a ogre when a poor miller’s son, Guy, inherits a saucy, one-of-a-kind cat and a pair of boots. How can a cat help a poor man marry a rich princess? Magical and funny antics abound in this play adapted for the stage by Noah Smith from the story by Charles Perrault.
“Produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing Co.”
The Gingerbread House in the Forest (An adaptation of Grimm’s Hansel and Gretel)
April 18-20 & 25-27, 2008
Directed by Jeannie C Sharpe
Watch as the unsuspecting Hansel and Gretel meet the Widow Nada who is really a powerful witch. She is planning to trick them into getting lost in the dark forest so that she might turn them into cookie children. Don’t miss the “sweet” turn of events in this Grimm fairy tale adapted by
Anne Coulter Martens.
Produced by arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Chicago.
