Subsidized Theatre Arts Education

Students with access to arts education build self confidence, express themselves better, learn how to work as part of a team, and are more likely to succeed academically. We at Fantasy Playhouse believe that no child should be denied access to quality arts education. That’s why for over the last decade, FPCT has actively solicited grant, foundation, and private funding to bring  theatre arts education opportunities to at risk students free of charge. Currently, we are partnering with Second Mile Development Preschool, located in the Terry Heights-Hillendale neighborhood of West Huntsville, Ridgecrest Elementary, and Lynn Fanning Elementary to provide free Fantasy in the Classroom classes to over 1000 students through 2017.  We also provide varying full/partial tuition assistance to students wishing to attend classes or camps at  the FPCT Academy.

For information on providing funding to offset the costs of classes for students in need, please email Karen Mockensturm at executivedirector@fantasyplayhouse.com.  If you are interested in applying for financial assistance, please contact Education Director Candice Cooper at candice.cooper@fantasyplayhouse.com.
