Join Fantasy for the beloved story of Peter, Wendy, Michael, John, Capt. Hook, Smee, the lost boys, pirates and the indians, and, of course, Tinker Bell, in their adventures in Never Land. Come fly through your imagination as we create on stage this classic tale written by J.M. Barrie. In this musical retelling of Charles Dickensí classic novel, you will travel with Scrooge as he visits his past, present, and future on Christmas Eve. This production has become a family tradition for many in the Tennessee Valley. On Sports Day, the animals cannot find anybody to compete with the hare in the cross-country race until the slow-moving tortoise agrees to challenge him. The scatter-brained hare gets diverted during the race by his encounters with various humans, while the tortoise plods steadily on to the finish line. To add humor, the author has the audience understand the animalsí speech, but the humans all speak gobble-de-gook. Cheer for your favorite competitor in this adaptation by Alan Broadhurst, Princess Dulcie is so full of spiteful tricks that she has driven away all the princes. Three old retired fairy godmothers arrive, eager to help. If they can sweeten up Dulcie, they will win back their wands. Follow the exciting and hilarious events as the godmothers try every trick in their fairy manuals to create a loving and suitable princess for Prince Royal in this play by Jerry L. Twedt.
